Privacy Policy
Short version
We don't save your pasted text, writing samples, tone requests, files, or outputs anywhere. We send them to Anthropic to generate a response, then discard them. We use your IP address briefly to enforce rate limits. If you accept cookies, we load Google Analytics to count page views. That's it.
What we collect
- Pasted text, writing samples, tone requests, uploaded files, and URLs you provide. Held in memory for the duration of a single request. Forwarded to Anthropic (see "Third parties" below). Not stored by us after the response completes.
- Your IP address. Used by our server to enforce per-IP rate limits. Kept only in server memory for a short rolling window and not written to any persistent log we control.
- Analytics (only if you accept cookies). If you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 loads and records standard page-view and interaction events (page URL, referrer, approximate location, device info, a random visitor ID in a cookie). We do not send pasted text, writing samples, tone requests, or generated output to Google Analytics.
What we don't collect
- No accounts. We don't collect names, emails, phone numbers, or payment information.
- No persistent storage of your pasted text, writing samples, tone requests, or outputs.
- No selling, sharing, or commercial use of your content. It goes to Anthropic for processing, then is dropped.
Third parties
- Anthropic, PBC (San Francisco, USA) — provides the language model. Your pasted text, writing sample, tone request, and files are transmitted to Anthropic's API to produce the cleaned output. Anthropic's privacy practices are described at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
- Google LLC (Mountain View, USA) — provides Google Analytics, loaded only after you accept cookies. See policies.google.com/privacy.
- YouTube and article websites you link — if your prompt contains a URL, our server fetches that URL to extract the transcript (YouTube) or article text. The fetch is server-to-server and the remote site sees our server's IP, not yours.
Data transfers
Anthropic and Google are US-based. If you are accessing the Service from the EU, UK, Switzerland, or another region with data-transfer rules, your content will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Your rights
Because we don't store your content, most rights (access, deletion, export) are effectively automatic — we simply have nothing to delete or export. For the content you transmitted to Anthropic, contact Anthropic directly for any requests.
If you are in the EU, UK, Switzerland, or a US state with a privacy law (California, Colorado, Virginia, and others), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal data about you. Because the only personal data we hold is a short-lived IP address and (if you consented) a GA4 cookie, the scope of those rights is limited.
Cookies
We set no first-party cookies of our own. We load Google Analytics cookies only if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. You can revoke consent by clearing your browser's site storage; the banner will reappear on your next visit.
Children
The Service is not intended for users under 18. Do not use the Service if you are under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
